Welcome to Sir Thomas Restaurant
The Sir Thomas Restaurant, Cullinan, opened on 1 May 2002. It was named after Sir Thomas Cullinan, of the Cullinan Diamond Mine.
Founder of the Premier Diamond Mining Company, Sir Thomas was born in the Cape Colony in 1862. He later moved to Johannesburg, where he lived for most of his life. He was knighted by the Duke of Connaught representing King George V, at the inauguration of the Union of South Africa in 1910.
The Sir Thomas Restaurant changed management in November 2006, when Chef Coleby and his family took ownership.
Experience the ambiance and culture of our wonderful village, perfectly represented in our traditional and contemporary food, freshly prepared and served with style. We aim to bring you the freshest food possible, and the tastiest combinations. None of our dishes are pre-prepared. All are cooked from scratch upon receipt of your order. We endeavor to prepare and serve all dishes swiftly, but food prepared freshly can take a little longer. But after all, good food is worth waiting for! If you are in a hurry, please discuss this with your waiter, and they can recommend a meal that may be prepared more speedily.
Please remember: If you are not pleased with us, please tell us. If you are pleased with us, please tell others!
Your hosts Elizabeth, Chef Missy, Calvin, Bryan and Chef Coleby welcome you to share our passion for food in a relaxed atmosphere.
